2. Copyrights and Intellectual Property.
 Investigate in more detail, the architect’s ownership of copyright for their work. Review the concept of ‘work for hire’
and describe how an architect’s work for a client avoids being considered as such.
 Take into consideration any and all provisions of the standard AIA Agreements that deal with establishing these
differences. Describe the concept of “instruments of service” as used in the standard AIA Agreements and how/if they
help clarify that an architect’s work is not “work for hire.”
